Jamy – Privacy Policy

Digital words, handwritten soul.

Our Approach to Your Privacy

Jamy is built around the idea that your words and your letters are yours. We bridge the gap between digital convenience and the warmth of traditional correspondence by turning your text into beautifully crafted handwritten letters. Part of that philosophy is treating your information with care. This document explains how we handle information in the Jamy app in plain language.

Guided by “Digital words, handwritten soul,” we aim to help you create and share personalized letters without unnecessary data collection.

No Account, Fewer Data Points

You do not need an account to use Jamy. That choice is intentional. When you don’t sign up, we don’t collect an email address, username, or password from you for Jamy itself. Your letter content, your choice of fonts, papers, and effects, and your in-app progress (such as coins and unlocks) are stored on your device. We don’t use your letter text or your creative choices to build profiles or to target you elsewhere.

In short: Your drafts and creations stay on your device. We don’t require or use account data for the core Jamy experience.

What We May Collect or Use

To make the app work well and to improve it over time, we may use or receive:

What Stays on Your Device

Your letter text, your chosen fonts, papers, and visual effects, your drafts, and your coin balance and unlocked content are stored locally on your device. We don’t upload the text of your letters to our servers for processing or storage. When you export a letter, you do so from your device using the options built into the app (e.g., saving as an image or document). Sharing is done through your device’s share sheet or other apps you choose, subject to their own policies.

Third-Party Services

Jamy may use third-party services for things like analytics, crash reporting, or infrastructure. Those providers have their own privacy practices. We choose partners that are commonly used in mobile apps and that limit use of data to providing and improving the service. We do not sell your data to third parties for advertising or marketing. If we add new third-party services in the future, we will describe them in the app or in an updated version of this policy.

Children and Sensitive Use

Jamy is intended for general use by people who create personal or professional correspondence. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in a way that would require special treatment. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has shared sensitive information through the app, please contact us. We encourage everyone to use Jamy in a way that respects others and to avoid including sensitive personal details in letters unless they are sure the recipient and channel are appropriate.

Keeping Your Data Safe

We take steps to protect the data we handle. Because much of what you create in Jamy stays on your device, the security of your device (e.g., lock screen, updates) also matters. We do not transmit the content of your letters to our servers for storage, which reduces the risk of your words being exposed through a breach of our systems. For any data we do process, we use industry-standard practices to keep it secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect new features, new partners, or changes in how we handle information. When we make meaningful changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where possible, notify you through the app or release notes. We encourage you to read the policy occasionally so you stay informed about how we treat your information.

Contact Us

If you have questions about how Jamy handles your information, how we use device or analytics data, or how you can request corrections or deletion where applicable, we are happy to hear from you.
